Do you have any recommendations for neighborhoods or areas around town that may offer a decent and somewhat safe place to live?

I budgeted $5000.00 for this -having just replaced my own home furnace at a cost of $3700 for a larger home with higher quality furnace, I figured this number was safe.

It sounds like 20-25k is a range zone, but not safe zone.

I mean, the rentals with tenants that didn't pay and the flips where the builder died were so safe and easy.
