That was the era of 2 TV's, 2 stereos, and 1 AC window unit.

c=Page&cid=...There were grants out related to lead based paint that could get part of your windows paid for if you had a child living there under a certain age range but I stopped following most of it...It may be the same program as above but the DHS pushed down money to cities for rehab loans that were forgiven over time, not sure if this is still going on.I would start by calling the notice and seeing if it applies to non-owner occupants.

It SEEMS fairly straight forward and I'm assuming the easiest spot would be where an egress window already exists. 

You should be able to do the big ticket items (roof, HVAC, siding, windows) without disturbing the tenants that much and those are the main things that sway an appraisal anyway assuming the units are in decent shape. 

It fronts directly on the sidewalk in front of the house with one basement window visible from the street.

I would expect to see real wood windows and solid core doors in a high end area  but vinyl windows and hollow core doors in a track area. 

So a window opened and I have an extra $200/month that I had not accounted for coming in each month and I'm deciding what to do with it. 

I would turn off the unit if I'm opening windows. two questions.

We also did not realize that half of the vinyl windows had failed and needed to be replaced.
