I have my heart set on a December holiday luxury river cruise down the Danube.

It provides the perfect amount of together time with some breathing room.The vacations I have had with my extended time that were the most relaxed and successful were when each family unit had their own private space that we could retreat to at the end of the day.

Not to forget that an STR can be your holiday destination as well if you decide to stay their yourself once per year.

Buying based on hope a property will go up in value more than you paid is a recipe for disaster especially when investors are getting into so much debt.Hoping is not a strategy.On that note I would love to buy a holiday apartment in the Bahamas hehe.Thanks

This is really simple Mike.Move there, put up a hammock and relax a little bit.Then take your income and use that to invest in other real estate.I'm investing so that one day I can have a paid for place just like this one that I can pass on to my kids.
