Buy and Hold Newbie from Memphis

Hi, my name is Austin Bryeans, and I am 21 years old. I've been researching real estate investing for quite some time now, but figured that I wouldn't actually start until I got out of college (I am a rising senior at Vanderbilt). Recently though, as I was looking at deals and going through the pretend number crunching, I found a deal that I couldn't pass up.

I bought my first investment property all cash in the berclair-highland heights area a few weeks ago. I am currently renovating it and am trying to have it completed (and hopefully rented out) by the time I go back to Nashville for school. Hopefully this will be the first of many deals to come.

I would like to get to know other Memphis investors. I also am considering going into real estate brokerage and/or property management.

As far as any questions, I would like to know if anyone knows a good property management company as well as some pros and cons of managing just one property but from a decent distance (Nashville-Memphis). I have family in Memphis that could help collecting rents and small problems like that. But I am afraid of not being able to be there all of the time.

Thanks,
Austin
