I hear from those attending that this has driven average returns on tax liens to 6-9%, but that's for financial institutions with scale that can hire cheap labor to visit every site (which is a must to ensure the property is in good shape), go to the local assessor's office and look up all the liens, hold onto the lien for several years, administer the ongoing payments and any foreclosure proceedings, and run pretty sophisticated spreadsheets that estimate whether you're going to get 6% or 8% return, based on economic forecasts, etc.

It is not "mean" to make people live up to qualifications or to require they go through the steps to ensure that they are really needing the assistance.On top of that, people who have REAL service dogs will already have all of the required paperwork because they will have had to do all of this before. so the only real inconvenience is to the fakers that just want to skirt the rules.Just my thoughts

If the police found wrongdoing, they would take action against you for violating a law, including writing you a citation, arresting you for a felony or a misdemeanor, or writing a report listing you as a suspect, in which case a detective most likely would be contacting you.Like others have posted, ensure your own safety first.
