So if you say something that is false and that gets you a better rate than you would get if you stated the truth, that would be mortgage fraud.When you apply for a mortgage you are going to be asked about the occupancy of the property.

But bear in mind that you have a 1 year warranty by law (verify this depending on state) which means you can get moved in and have the builder satisfy the other items later.Holding funds or occupancy over their heads is a good way to get things done though.
