I received a Bachelors in Construction Mgt from Missouri State University, and most of the classes have to do with managing commercial construction projects, more so than residential construction or real estate investing.   

I have been seeing/working with a lot of people buying in Lakewood, Cleveland Heights, Parma, University Heights etc... 

The colleges add to that in different areas, but demand and price tend to rise and fall somewhat independent of the universities.The exception are the universities near the med center, including Rice and all of the graduate schools.

I'm a server at a restaurant on Universal Studios property in Orlando, FL and I make almost 50K a year as a server working part time...where's the problem with that?

In City/Urban areas, new developments to colleges and universities as wells as commercial Big Box retailers entering the area foretell of a re-gentrification or community overhauls on the horizon. ie...Location, Location, Location!

Before spending/squandering your downpayment funds on a "guru" course {if you are going to enrol in a college/university course, it's a different kettle of fish}, spend sometime searching, reading and digesting the forum history and blogs here at Bigger Pockets.  

Africa vs. here in the states, but student accommodations probably refers to purchasing real estate in college and university areas.

My family has multiple rental units throughout the area with 6 student houses (6 kids a house) at Lehigh University, 7 Multi-family homes through the WB area and a large 75,000 sqft mixed use building with 43 units that I help manage and learn a lot from.
