In order to address this, we aired out the home opening all windows and had the AC technician come in and check for anything unusual in the air conditioning system, we had housekeeping come in and reclean the home.

Pdf the siding is in good shape, I would keep it and add an accent, like shutters, or decorative trim above the windows/doors, as long as it is consistent with the home's style.
