Working with a tax professional on your actual tax liability numbers will help you nail this down a lot better than my estimate here.

However, over time have noted multiple, conflicting citations otherwise -- trying to nail-down the potential [state/local] Property Tax deductibility/non-deductibility and Adjusted Cost Basis relevance/irrelevance per hard sources (no Tax Court cases found; nothing remotely relevant in IRC and IRS remains silent with no advisory letters or opinions issued).
