You should be able to connect the waste and vent to the upper level waste line, this will require to open the walls or the ceiling below.

@Charlie John @Joy Panebianco @Zana Blue here are some of the before pictures of the remodel.This is a picture of the front room with the kitchen being to the left in the picture.We removed the wall between the front room and kitchen to make the kitchen more open and added a new support beam and two supporting post because the wall removed was load bearing.These are the walls built to support the ceiling while the kitchen wall was removed and new posts and beam was installed.Wall removed and new posts and beam installed.

In addition to those items, we fully updated the baths, all the flooring, rebuild the backyard deck (no pic), sheetrocked over the wood ceilings, tile everything else, etc.
