I don't like using the 5 gallon buckets because it leaves too much air space to paint ratio and they're a pain in the butt to pour and store.

If there is a crawl space, it's worth inspecting the perimeter of the home for any vents, gaps, cracks in the foundation that would allow air flow - grab some straw and lay it over these gaps to keep the wind from blowing in.

Might be worth seeing if you can add some weather stripping and foam stripping to the door frame to help reduce some noise and also make the unit for air tight.
