How important is having your landscape when flipping a house?

Any landscape suggestions/advice/opinions from anyone that flipped a house on a large parcel would be appreciated. 

I bought a 3 bed/2 bath roughly a year ago and the "lawn" was ugly looking and all weeds.Wanting to switch it to a drought tolerant, more eye-friendly design I saved up the $3000 to have the whole frontyard done in a rock landscape with stepping stones leading up to the front door from the side of the house (can't see it in this picture).I'm very happy with how it turned out - no more maintenance!

A lot of late nights, negotiating with contractors, and hand wringing later, that came out to be about $69K.Then there were about $19K of appliances, landscaping, and other expenses.Breathing New LifeI started with a 3/2.5 and now had a 4/2.5 and a 2/1 rear--two houses for the price of one!

The property also appreciated enough that when we sell it we will make a profit after all costs associated with maintaining it are accounted for (down payment, utilities, landscaping, food, main sewer line replacement).My son graduates in June and we have decided to keep it as a rental and not sell it.

All of this along with custom outdoor landscaping with a rooftop deck to truly enhance the experience.

Through my local networking and contacts, I plan to interview REI/Contractors as JV partners whereby I would purchase houses for cash and fund 100% of the rehab and the Contractor/Investor/Partner would provide the permitting, and all construction, rehab, landscaping, etc.
