Most of my buyers that want a new construction have been going out to Leander recently as that is where they see the most options (tons of builders) and the schools are rated highly. 

The lot is in a 'good' area of the town, it is easy walking distance to schools, dollar general, grocery store, gas stations, and county offices.  

I am thinking about doing real estate because I have no job since 2013 after graduating high school.

The area you're discussing has some great draws though with  parks and schools, and tons of new restaurants (well, there were at least). 

I keep receipts, rent receipts, leases, all applicable signed documents saved both electronically and in paper (kinda old school like that).

(Any feedback on how it's been for you would be awesome.)Neverthless, I found a little  house on a 1/3 of an acre lot in a great area, walking distance to a charter school that has stellar reviews - park around the corner and lots of young families moving in.
