-I'll be doing AirBNB/short term rentals so would need some good asset protection as well as savvy tax strategizing given its a high cash flow business and would need to reduce down the income however possible (retirement accounts/ W2 employees/ etc).Would love to hear any thoughts by the experts out there.Thanks!

It is a bit of a retail desert at the moment but we're hoping that changes in the next few years.With the addition of Oracle just a few minutes away the Montopolis area is a very convenient location for their employees to settle down as that campus reaches its capacity.The community right across from the new milestone development is quite a bit older and I think there is an opportunity there for investors as well as north on Montopolis (that's where you'll find lots of beat up properties with BRRR potential)

No one within my company has a GC license nor do we intend to hire a GC as a W-2 employee or responsible manager. 

Remember that if the employees there were actually working in the trades, they would be earning about twice what they get wearing the orange aprons and getting real experience and perspective in the process.  

You must meet the eligibility requirement in order to set one up: you need to have legitimate self-employment activity or small business that generates earned income and without any full time common law employees other than business owners and their spouses. 

After talking with thousands of realtors, home owners, tenants, inspectors, appraisers, and a few investors, as well as others involved in the buying and selling process, I think I'm ready to connect and network, and eventually make the switch from employee to business owner and investor.Laurie
