I would imagine the security deposits would be directly deposited or a check from the seller will be given to us at closing.

If they own several they are obviously investors.Once you get a response from the seller of the vacant house, negotiate a deal to buy it for all cash and get it under contract.

I suggest you sell the property, walk away with the cash at right around $150,000 after sellers fees, pay off the debt that you are in, and then keep the rest to purchase a property when you get back into the states for either living/renting.
