Ultimately, my goal with real estate as opposed to my other investments, is to create another income stream in retirement by paying of the property and receiving the monthly income.I guess my fundamental question is, are investments through something like fundrise basically the equivalent of purchasing real estate in a group?

So until you retire the loan you are stuck paying the mortgage insurance which depending on purchase price can be hundreds of dollars a month or more.It sounds like you are saying you bought a property 2.5 years ago.

Good morning AnnYes I am aware that I could not use buyer C’s funds to purchase a property, I was taught that in one of my classes, I liked how you were right to the point with your answer, my purpose for asking the question about double closings is I am searching for mentors in the real world of real estate, I guess I could have asked google the question but that wouldn’t have got me in touch with real people with real answers, this site is fantastic for beginners like myself, I’ve been installing flooring for 43 years working with realtors and new builds and investors, I decided to retire my back and knees from my trade so I can continue to work with clients on a different level, I just completed and built my dream cabin in central Maine, I coordinated the entire project and hired all the contractors and paid them as well, I do have a passion for real estate, one of my goals is to gain relationships with realtors Thank you for your answers Mat

You are still going to have to be personally responsible for the note so the bank doesn't care whose name is on the deed.Do you have personal assets (outside of personal home and retirement accounts) you need to protect from the rental?

Many millions of CA have retired just on their equity in their homes they bought 30 years ago.. or get that tax free 500k when they sell and move to the sunbelt etc.

I wrote pretty much exactly one year ago that I paid my highest ever assignment fee 125k Well tonight I just got back from the planning commission meeting with a fully approved 90 lot subdivisionwhich my MAI appraisal for the lots when shovel ready indicated the value was 12,600,000 we are paying 7.4 million for this.I have 10 acres sold to retirement home developer for 2.2 million in a double close transaction.so we are in the dirt ONLY 5.4 million..
