I have been offered a Corporate Rental, but it raised the issue and I think it's an interesting question.BTW, I've never rented a house before!

Shifting the cost of utilities to the tenant when you competition has utilities included may not help you much.If you competition does not include utilities, then raise the rent to compensate.

It was mentioned how I can survive and it is simply because I am lucky enough to be able to pay a low rent and because I was raised in a home where we had to be very frugal and I don't spend much on "experiences" or things that aren't necessities.

My efforts to get other landlords to raise expectations of what's acceptable is working.

The thing I love about being an agent is that it helps you with almost everything else RE related, whether it's raising money, doing rehabs, getting referrals etc.
