An individual partner can't make a separate election.Accelerated Depreciation is achieved through a segregation analysis wherein the "equipment" installed in the property is carved out and depreciated on its own life (anywhere between 5 and 7 years, usually...) rather than over the life of the property (27.5 or 39 years).The segregation analysis is generally pretty expensive to have done (and no, you're generally not permitted to do it yourself).

Im not so sure the difference in price will warrant a savings when we have to assemble them all vs just buying them and then installing them but my counter part constantly is notorious for making MORE work for us than saving time effectively.
