It isn’t paid directly to landlord and the amount doesn’t change depending on your house.

If they agree to let her leave and get a new girl, I would make them sign a new lease with those changes in it to deter this from happening again.

In fact, the city came out and offered to update the supply line with copper a few years ago and they all agreed that it didn't need to be changed. 

Recent changes in my role have caused me to look outside to see what else is out there.
