Rough calculations tell me that this probably isn't a very good deal.If it will cost a builder $80 per square foot (just a number out of thin air, but probably the lowest it would be) to build, and a 2000 sf house will sell for $235K, then the builder is looking at a $160K build cost, another $10K for the tear-down and about $25K for fixed costs (closing costs, commissions, holding costs, etc).
