First, I would like to say thank you to everyone who contributes to the site.Brian, I am 29 and even though i live in southern NJ I grew up and spent most of my life in NYC.

Funny thing, we wanted to participate with the rehab & decided to work on the yard, so we planted seeds & grass barely grew, so we decided to hire landscaper to do the grass!

So if i have to worry about a tenent that will break into my part of the house how can i get into rental biz and trust any tenants of any house i rent out.R2 how do you sleep at night knowing that in your huge empire of apartment buildings theres probably someone cooking oil from the weed they grew...down the hall is the ex con smoking crack and possibly burning your whole future.If i cant trust the tenent i bring into a basement suite i think i better think twice about getting involved in rental part of REI.Maybe rehabs are the better way less human factor

Since I grew up in NY, I'm constantly comparing the markets in Westchester, Putnam & Dutchess Counties to where I'm currently living now in Orlando FL (Orange County). 

You have the problem of if they grew up in the home, they have a attachment and it's emotional.

As my business grew, my minimums went up to $25K, then $50K, then $100K.  

Grew up about 90 minutes from Wrigley in Indiana. 

I'm a recent transplant to the area - I moved with my husband to BG from the Portland, OR suburbs where I grew up.  

If anyone has any ideas they would certainly be appreciated as I'm spinning in circles as this was the house I grew up in and hate to see it go, but I know it most likely will have too.
