Remember, the LLC only provides the limited liabiilty, i.e. the corporate veil, for assets that is under its ownership/purvue.

What I have done before when I moved out of state for a few years, was to register my Colorado corporation in the other state as a foreign corporation and used my sister as my registered agent in Colorado.
