@Andy BallesterOk, just to clarify.It doesn't seem like you've ever rented with housing choice vouchers before.It doesn't seem like you've ever owned rental real estate in Swissvale before.What I can tell you about both of those conditions is that is is difficult.

She explained this as, the homeless veteran pool does not commonly meet most landlord's tenant standards (credit, income of 3x rent, and no felonies), and here in Seattle the rent is so high that the HUD VASH (section 8 for veterans vouchers) does not come close to the cost to rent.

@Chris Levarek - I’ve had the SEC 8 voucher holder pass away (although never shot), and SEC 8 passed their voucher to another person in the family and the lease stayed in tact except for an amendment to substitute the lease holder.
