You do not say where this is at or how many units you own.Some of those areas in down town are just crap holes and that type of thing comes with the territory.If you have a large complex you could put up a gate with card access to keep the bums, trouble makers, and drug dealers from loitering etc. around your place and give the tenants piece of mind.Have you set up security cameras and street lights??

After the second snaking of the drain I had the drain guys run a camera and they diagnosed the problem to be a poorly pitched pipe which is causing waste to build up etc. 

What about a digital camera to pick pictures of the property?

maybe they can record using a webcam or any digital camera convert it to avi for online use?

Most big property management Companies use cheap disposable camera's.

One of the tenants moved out ("the best one"), and a new guy moved in who was "a little shady".Long story short, the newest tenant was a drug dealer who was under surveillance by the police.

We have nailed guys dumping before, but this has emphasized my need to get another security camera installed along our driveway to catch good video of all the vehicles driving on and off the property so I can get license plate numbers.The camera equipment is on order and should be installed next weekend.
