Just remember the difference between good debt (assets) and bad debt (consumer debit often used for instant gratification).

I feel like so many people want to be in the short term rental business because as a society we've moved to this instant gratification model where we watch 30 second clips online and think we've learned something.

They offer a service where you can pull credit report, criminal, eviction, and sexual predator.

-Practice delayed gratification, and set goals, even if you can already 'afford' what you want. 

I grew up in Oregon and am very familiar with Lincoln and even Long Beach (home of Jake the Alligator Man). i know condos are the "easy, affordable" option but I would rather delay gratification and get an actual home.

If you want the instant gratification of initial cashflow then not the best area but if you have the patience for long term you will be happy you did.
