Thanks @Hattie Dizmond the Dallas area is somewhere that we’re interested in as a place to relocate for a host of reasons.

We had to move out of Southern California due to a job relocation and built our place in 2016 in Los Angeles, it's really nice in gated community with a pool, 5 bedroom 4 bath with a main level suite and full bath (a second master, an in-law suite, a home office) appx 2600 square feet.

Also how about an equity loan to purchase another buy in the state I will be relocating?

My husband is active duty and we will be relocating to Colorado Springs this November, so a owner occupied type loan won’t work for us.
