Both are very expensive with materials and labor.If you need to un-due some of the work you did, then bring it up to fire code, then pass a Certificate of Occupancy inspection... you are going to need the unit you are working in to pass, and you are going to need the entire building to pass.Not only do you need licensed contractors but, you need permits every step of the way.
