Hi there,I need some help deciding if I should cash out of my primary home turned rental property (located in Orange County, California) before I am on the hook to pay taxes on capital gains, and pocket the equity or hold it long term with positive cash flow and possibly a retirement income.

But he downgraded his house in Orange County to move in a condo so he can use the excess cash to invest in the mid west.. fortunate enough he has someone like me who he can trust to manage his properties.

I'm a licensed Realtor in Orange County, CA, and have been since 2003, however I've never really used my license for real estate sales - it was just a way for me to look at the MLS.
