So many choices in carpet too, marine, hotel grade, extreme stain resistant, or just the cheap commercial looking stuff.

Leaning towards luxury vinyl but between the new waterproof or resistant laminate aswell.

Student loans are just the path of least resistance, you don't have to take them. 

Long amortization periods on fixed loan products combined with compound interest on investments is probably your best bet at maintaining an inflation resistant nest egg.

Why not try the path of less resistance first?

Retail is moving to an "amazon resistant model" Think service-based locations where you get your medication, pick up food, or an escape room.

I think for the folks that don't have any of the specialized skills mentioned the path of least resistance is to actually save for your own down payment rather than spin your wheels looking for a partner.
