What has been your experience and do you manage with a property manager or self manage ?

The fact that he’s walking away from this thinking it’s a dead end is more irresponsible and reckless than anything anyone else has said. 

However, it happens sometimes that the lease ends in winter and we have a vacany.

If the interest rate is on the higher end, then I would cut my losses and sell.

I came up with a goal of having one property by the end of the year that cash flows at least $100 a month after all expenses.

It is a great market but highly recommend partnering with an agent who knows the market and has experience dealing with investors as location is key.

This property has been a great experience and we have learned a lot from it over the last several years.

In my experience, getting less than 20% down with an investment property is not possible.
