Most "investors" here seem to be pretty well taken by metro real estate. The Ag world is a different bread as you probably know, to be successful in speculation or investing in farm or ranch land, you need to understand the business behind it, it's a much more commercial aspect.

Working with a competent Rehab Team
4 June 2011 | 11 replies
Spend a few weeks between Home Depot and talking to contractors, and you'll start to get a good idea of how much it costs for various aspects of a rehab. While you can certainly talk to a GC to get prices, the problem is, he's unlikely to break down all the materials costs and he's most likely going to mark up the costs for each of the sub-contractors, so it will be hard to get an accurate set of prices (unless it's that GC who ends up doing the job).

:So since it's a "fact" to you liberals (even though your scientists admit to miscalculations) tell us what is causing the so called temp changes...As Mike pointed out above, it has nothing to do with liberal or conservative...scientists on both sides are pretty convinced that warming is happening, they just disagree on whether it is man-made or not (and that has nothing to do with this discussion)...Now, as for the reason the climate changes drastically over large periods of time, the general scientific concensus is that changes in the amount of oxygen and greenhouse gases in our atmosphere leads to climate change.

Confused on how to find deals
10 January 2011 | 22 replies
And to know what a deal looks like, you need to familiar with all aspects of the investment, not just the purchase side. For example, how do know if a house that's listed at $60K is a good deal if you don't know whether it will sell for $65K or $165K?
