steven, if they want more return than just the interest on payments, you could offer a portion of the equity and/or cash flow..this takes money out of your profits however..then again, without them, you may not be able to do a deal at all...better to share profits than flip burgers

Jon, correct me if im wrong, but the taxes should be on the same 50% side as the payment, which would probablly eat up a good portion of that $2207 left. esp if they are in detroit!

If a portion of the notes are not purchased, then I would assume they end up going into foreclosure and the homeowner is not off the hook, as they were lead to believe.

Owner financing is a lot more work and risk.As an agent, your initial conversation would have thrown up a red flag with me also.....and a large portion of my clientele are out-of-state investors.

We will be working to try to affect this law in other legislative ways, but cannot hope to gain traction unless our members have clearly communicated that they are opposed to this portion of the rules.
