@Ryan Stocker I don’t see why wanting to live in it would make any difference, except that maybe you’re willing to pay closer to full value if it’s a house you’d Want to live in.

I prefer to have LESS headaches and if it means I miss out on a few dollars BUT I'm not worrying about water, sewer, grass cutting, snow removal and constant turn over every year.

I work full time at a machine shop for about 25-30k a year and I've decided to move to Poughkeepsie New York area in July of 2020 to move closer to family and hopefully have more homes to choose from.

If your house is closer to $100k in an area that averages $200k, then beggars can't be choosers and your buyers will be a lot less picky and it shouldn't impact the price as much.Hope that helps.

But it has what those closer to downtown dream about...actual diversity - in people and food, bigger spaces for outdoor dining without the huge prices, and homes/condos with actual grass back yards, yet only 20-30 minutes on the red line from downtown!
