With the properties already we own, and the legal deductions we are enjoying spread over the next 27.5 years, we are comfortable paying THAT number to the government every year for the rest of our lives.So yes - it is every businesses' duty and obligation is to earn money and show a profit.

Expect to need at least 20K to be comfortable. 

My end goal is to replace my income and to become financially free to spend more time with my young child and provide her a business to work in, learn and then own when she gets older for her own independence. 

I was able to get comfortable with the debt & leverage on this deal but I realize that is not for everybody.

But I also consider if someone I already trust refers them that may expedite that timeline.In the end everything has risk--> leaving money in a savings account, investing in the stock market, investing in real estate, investing in commodities, so just being able to define the level of risk you are comfortable with for the projected return is name of the game.
