Hello i have called several banks and credit unions and cannot get a home equity loan on rental properties i own Free and clear but if i were to put a property in my name today and tell the banks i lived there for 6months already how do they know how long ive been living there??

I think if the house sold today it would be a gain of roughly $350,000 - $425,000.
