If your wife falls off her bike you can sue the company that supplied the road signs, you won't get very far though, but there is nothing stopping you trying.So if something bad did happen, in order of richest people involved, where do you stand?

Aloha Daryl - investing in real estate is definitely a worthwhile venture, especially in Hawaii where the price points can make one deal the equivalent of multiple deals on some mainland markets.I want to give you some friendly and constructive advice.

I should also add at this point, this would be a joint venture between my brother and myself.

Once you have a feel for what you are doing then venture into the City.

Even though I have been educating myself since 2009 by reading books and blogs, watching webinars and tv shows, listening to podcasts and having hands on experience in the RE world (I co-own a reno company and am a mortgage loan officer (as well as a personal finances advisor)), I believe that we should never stop learning and sharpening our skills. 

I am venturing into the real estate wholesaling business, wondering if any of you guys are doing wholesaling.
