If the property has a mortgage without a renter and the property has been listed 6 months or more, you can offer a large DP such as 10K covering first last, and security but at the same time you state-document the 10K as the initial DP with a 3 year Lease Option I guarantee you that the owners will want to listen to you......Just a creative thought for food!

My credit is poor, I have closed credit cards debt that equal $11,580 (from when I made bad choices), however, I keep my current 3 credit cards with no balance and my only monthly debt is rent, food, and utilities and necessities ($1700).

Pets are damaging so I recommend a monthly pet fee that you set aside to repair whatever damage they cause including getting the carpet professionally cleaned to remove the pet smell.

I'd recommend cutting it down to around 5 questions that focus on the things that you NEED to know (income, pets, move-in date, how many tenants, reason for moving, and contact info).

If the fee was going to cover some hard/actual costs, like for a meeting room you needed or food for a group meeting or to bring in an expert/paid speaker that you all wanted to hear from, then I wouldn't have a problem with that.
