Up until recently, the laws were reasonable and applied more or less fairly with a slight to moderate bias towards the tenant (the landlord-tenant courts are conducted by magistrates who are ultimately answerable to judges but who, in 99.99% of the cases, are the final word, and have a tendency - if given any sort of excuse - to rule in favor of or at least grant a continuance to the tenant).

plus we grew up poor ( I know that sounds like an excuse) and for me there’s a negative psychological background that’s part of me that makes me abhor not owning the place In which I live.as a kid  I always had a fear we’d be kicked out of our modest 200$ a month rental or not be able to pay for it and ultimately be on street which thank God never happened .

The claim was submitted to NREIG/Affinity in February 2014 (please excuse previous typo error where I stated February 2013) and only reached their underwriters, McLarens, after much pestering from me.
