We’ve done Washington as well which is by far my favorite mountain zone but with the cost of living there we don’t bother.

Some vacation property owners around here that I know don't even bother listing on Airbnb and keep there calendars full with just Vrbo. 

There was some exaggeration in the review, but I suspect a lot of the items listed did bother the guest and as they thought about their stay their feelings about the unit worsened.  

Prior to that the wait time on tickets was a bit of a bother, usually took 24 hours for a response, but now you can speak with someone live immediately.

And bugs and fire hazard really bothers me.

In fact you could even argue he could rent the properties forever and never even bother trying to get title.

Yea, I pay the extra for a title search on the ones we get under contract, especially if there’s multiple owners.Smart move  I found this out the hard way when I stated in building houses in Charleston 6 years ago.. especially in the transition areas were we work old families that did not bother to get a divorce or do probate..

I ended up getting an even better deal elsewhere but didn’t bother coming back to better.com just so they could potentially beat it again by $100. 

If so, AND if they bring it up then I would tell them you as the homeowner were inconvenienced as well so it's not a big deal.....and don't even bother having the discussion.If you do "cave to them" on this then you are setting a bad precedent my friend.

It kinda bothers my husband that we would have tenants close by but I see it as a potential future investment.
