I am currently in the military working on transitioning back into civilian life and preparing to move to Dallas-Fort Worth area in a couple of months.

I finally narrowed my MFH market to Columbus or San Antonio / Dallas- Fort worth area.

Where I am going with this is I see Austin, Dallas, and Houston and think okay expensive or maybe already boomed (not sure if overvalued as Austin is a tiny city and everyone and their mom is moving there) and SA is finally hitting its stride.

I live in Dallas and engineering is not nearly as expensive.

According to this CNBC article, Dallas is amongst the cities that saw all-time highs in annual price gains.
