I just purchased their base station and sensors and thats it...You don't need wifi or wired internet in the house at all as it uses Built-in cellular GSM technology...and yes once you are done with your house you can take it with you unless you want to give it to new owner as a selling point.

In the past, when I've been unsuccessful getting a neighboring property to properly prune the tree to prevent encroachment onto my property - I'll hire a company to come out and shear everything off straight up about 2 feet into my property (just to be on the safe side, never know exactly where the boundary lies).
