It is slow money, nothing sexy about it but it will secure a decent retirement income for your future with great peace of mind as you can easily drive by the property anytime you want.

She is 63, and receiving social security due to a major back injury, however does have a cash income every month provided by 2 family members that rent two rooms from her.

That's why they have 1st position on the title.It will probably go on your credit, but that really is a factor of whether you were personally guaranteeing the note, or if the deal was the only security.  

Either way- you need to secure the financing before the next deal.
