There are all kinds of engineers, such a structural, mechanical (HVAC system) and electrical (for wiring, etc.). 

A large portion of the 5 year classification tax savings was related to the electrical installation.

It is also true that most investors don’t maintain or fully fund reserves for their properties (roofs/siding/plumbing/garage doors/electrical panels).

The contractor is willing to put Sheetrock up on the ceiling, add three electrical sockets, and Sheetrock on the slabs that separate one half of the basement from the other.

Since I have worked in construction for over 25 years, I can do all of the plumbing, painting, landscaping, some electrical, some carpentry, some roofing, etc.

I am very new to all this and this question has been bugging me.

Have you noticed any plumbing or electrical power problems or water leaking?

If you're going to even possibly have to change out any of the mechanicals (hvac, water heater, etc.) or deal with major plumbing or electrical I would go to those right away, too.
