During the summer you can put a lock on the air conditioner that will go in a range we typically have ours at the lowest 70° and that the warm is 76°.

The temperature would be at 50 degrees, I would kick on the heat when I leave my house, and the rental would be warm by the time I arrived.Then one day I was doing some work and noticed the fan was running constantly.

During winter renovations I would keep the temp down around 50, then I would turn it up right before heading to the rental so it would be warm by the time I got there.

Several times over a 7 year timeframe our furnace went out and the temperature dropped to around 45 degrees and it would take about 4 days for it to warm back up to 70.
