Even in rougher parts, if you are looking for neighborhoods in transition you will likely experience better returns over the long run, and you could interact with the direct neighbors to get the feel for that particular block and how the area is.

Buying nice clothes, buying video games, buying alcohol, all had to stop.

Almost all serious buyers will view the property in person or at the minimum a video walk through from their agent and will see the street.
