Every now and then, I'll receive a legitimate check in the mail with a warning that by endorsing it, I'll be agreeing to sign up for an insurance policy, a magazine subscription, or whatever else.Anyone know about the legality of these checks or how I can begin writing them against my own business accounts?

The real truth is, if it were that easy, everyone would do it and there would be no gurus selling their products and services, they would be out working a few minutes each week to make their easy millions.I have received emails from my contact for REO deals, spent 20 minutes or so doing some paper due diligence, made a 2 minute phone call stating send me the contract, executed the contract, send out an email blast, read 5-10 quick emails, locked up a buyer and walked with $10k, $20k, and even $40k in profits.

...I would imagine that many BP landlords are getting Section 8 rent, where the voucher amount and the allowances for utilties by the housing authority end up setting the rent received by the landlord.For your existing tenants, you could probably get away with the bigger increases - if their income was keeping up and other rental units in the area also went up similarly.

but such transfer does not come to the attention of the lender because it is not recorded anywhere in public records.Uh, when the lender begins receiving mortgage payments from the "new" owner, doesn't that bring it to their attention????
