The Illinois Manufactured Housing Association is currently fighting two bills in Illinois that would allow rent control law and regulations.

Don't know if it's in one of those rent control cities.

You will automatically be 50/50 partners in.Next:Have the HOME OWNER sign a Quit Clam Deed into the Name of the LLC.This way, the LLC owns the house and you have control.

@Michael Beeman @Jorge Ruizso my friend finally contacted me back and said that his grandfather no longer has control of the property, supposedly the state took it.

However if you have funds in an IRA you can convert it into self-directed and get control over those funds and have virtually unlimited investment options.Subject of self-directed IRA is a frequent discussion here on the forum so I suggest you search using the keywords and educate yourself by reading other discussions. 

Personally, I view a divorce as a giant financial storm, and ya know what.. you probably have some late rents coming your way  (or missed payments) if they have to hire lawyers, not to mention whoever controls the $ will be a jerk to the other.
