I have been fortunate to have read sections of Paul's book, and he covers a wide array of strategies in self storage. 

His books 'beat around the bush' too much and I never ever invest based on predictions by anybody including the news, brokers, friends, or analysts because that is like investing based on going to a fortune teller and then you have to cross your fingers, pray and hope your God hears you and will deliver.

I have been fortunate to collect rents throughout with reasonable consistency and little difficulty filling voluntary vacancies.
