Consider the lawn and over grown trees if any. 

Recently, a tree fell on my rental house in Tampa.

Cut them trees away from the house - you need air flow to keep this stuff from staying damp. 

I am of the crazy segment that would build an entire house myself by starting out with a chainsaw and heading to the woods to cut trees that I would saw up for lumber.

Usually there are private agreements between the owners that are recorded as to a fee charged for having someone take a back hoe and scrape the road, clear downed trees, remove rubble from a storm.
