For example, no point in buying $100k condo for $100k cash.

Stuck on what to do next…I currently have a 1 bedroom condo in Boston that rents for $1,700.

I have a duplex in a very trendy and fast growing area on the west side of Cleveland (Gordon Square).

The prices for homes or condos go up the closer you get to the resorts.

Especially if you plan to owner occupy.P.S. when running a background check, make sure to look at real property for prospective tenants, the previous owner thought that is was odd they owned property a few blocks away(a duplex).

Similar to @Rob Brown we own a duplex in Mission Beach (San Diego) one block from the ocean and 2 blocks north of Belmont Park. 

I bought at duplex, 3.5 down, FHA; My mortgage is estimated at 508 per month and the first floor is currently being rented to 650 bucks.

The home I own and live in currently is valued at $105,000 with $65,000 in equity. My income is low because I am a college student, but I have some cash in the bank. What I am looking to do is buy an occupied 2-4 unit...

I had this thought that I should buy a house but find something like a duplex that I could rent out part of it, which I probably got the idea from one of my landlords that I rented their basement in my finals years in undergrad.
